
Hungarian Meatballs and Potato Casserole (Pressure Cooker) Recipe
Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 4 minutes on high pressure
Ingredients:
- 750 grams minced beef
- 50 grams fresh white breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, peeled and grated
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 400 grams can tomatoes, chopped, with their juice
- 300 ml beef stock
- 450 grams potatoes, peeled and cut into 25 grams pieces
Directions:
- Mix the minced beef, breadcrumbs, onion, paprika, nutmeg, and
salt and pepper to taste. Bind with the beaten egg.
- Shape into balls by turning out on a floured surface.
- Heat oil in a cooker and brown the beef on all sides.
- Drain off any excess oil from the pan and put all the meatballs
back adding the tomatoes, stock, potatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper and stir.
- Allow it to cook for 4 minutes on High pressure on a closed
cooker. Minimize the heat immediately.
- Taste and add seasoning if desired before serving.
